Jac's belated birthday pressie & her Xmas gift

Remember a month ago when I posted "Special Gift in the Making"? Well, it didn't turn out exactly what I wanted, hence I bought new yarn and made this instead. This texture feels really soft and furry... ( I hope the new owner will love it too!)

And as for Xmas, here is our another special made gift. We chose the little cactus (they came in brown little pots), the gold pot and I paid for these. But Superhubby made this into such a lovely home of cactus. He has such a pair of superb hand.

Deep Dark Chocolate Brownies and The Santarina

I have decided to modify the recipe of my brownies. This time, I cut down on the butter and added more semisweet chocolate instead. And the result, less gooey but still fudgy. Not cakey dry and so much less sweet as I am going on a diet and since a lot of people these days are cutting down their sugar intake as well for being health concious. Its good to know that people are eating less sweet comparing to the olden days when they use sugar for almost all their dishes.

I learn to eat less sweet stuff when I got to know Superhubby. He is not a sweet tooth person and somehow after all those years of eating with him and my in-laws, I learn not to have too much sugar intake, hence its making my taste bud less craving for those sweet food.

And this is definitely the least sweet brownies I ever made!

Xmas is just around the corner and as Supermommy is arriving Spore this Sunday, I am taking leave the whole of next week. Its also her birthday on Xmas day.

As personalise as can be, I wrapped these freshly baked brownies into pinky little bag (remember I love PINK?)... and tied them up with my SuperRibbon!! Yes, printed with my name on it. I had this ribbons printed many years ago but I still have some left, so just thought it would be a good idea to use it instead of getting little cards to be attached to the bag to state who these brownies are from. ( I intend to place them on their desk tomorrow morning when I go in to the office. )

I just love this seasons of giving.

iMango Cheesecake

Finally I've got my hands to make this non-bake Mango Cheesecake. Texture is rather soft. Perhaps I have added too much mango. ( I never follow the recipe accurately, cutting down this and added that.. )Thats what makes them special and not a total copy cat. I would say I use those recipe only as a guide as I always change the ingredient to something I prefer.

Cut them into smaller pieces and placed in containers to be kept in the freezer. Just take it out an hour before consumption. Am keeping them for mom and brother, Aunt Stella and cousin Alina (which I promised her yesterday that next saturday I will bring them to grandpa's place for her). So Alina, if you are reading this blog, please remember to go to ah gong's place coming Saturday yeah.

Till then, I am going to enjoy a piece of this while watching The HOST on ch U.

I am a Secret Santa to????

This coming Friday night is our company's DND... as commonly celebrated every year in between Xmas and New Year. But this year, its a little different, firstly we are having it earlier than usual, and it will not be held at any hotel but in our own HS office. Theme is 70's and best dressed will be awarded with $150.00 ( seriously, I can't be bothered to dress up in 70s when I was only informed 3 days in advance. Where the hell am I going to find clothes of the 70s?)... Its okie larrrrrr... so long as I am properly dressed for the event, and having lots of fun with my colleagues (only some... not all... )... will make the night 70s fill with lots of fun and laughter. Hahaha... whatever....!!!

Secondly, everyone is someone's Secret Santa. I've got this nice bag hanger from Cedric as the gift for my lucky pick. Hopefully she likes it. I do not like to get things for the sake of buying but it has to be practical where the person will use it.

New Moon - 07.12.09

Finally, I'd watched the long awaited movie, New Moon, The Twilight Saga.

Gosh, after this movie, I have a new love for the werewolf... all because of Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Damn.. he is such a charm... and if one thinks that Edward is a charm.. well.. he is the past charm to me. With his(Jacob) new found identity in New Moon and new look, he is almost perfect. Almost.. because he is in a movie.... caring, protective, his gazing eyes.. can melt any ice in a woman's heart.. well at least mine.. I was so convinced that I only love vampires, hence I loved Edward Cullen, but in this saga, Edward looks like a skinny pale vampire... (perhaps due to his intake of only animals' blood... he prohibits himself from taking human blood... )... LOL..

... but as for Jacob.. he is the Charm... just a stare from his eyes, makes my heart skips. Oh mine.. Okie.. I shall say no more.. and let you guys go watch it... but if your gfs leave the cinema goo-goo and ga-ga-ing about Jacob Black, just forgive her, cos my Superhubby did so. Hahaha..

Ribeye for dinner - 08.12.09

Superhubby went for his badminton games with his friends... so I was alone for dinner, hence I dropped by Carrefour before I went home and bought this piece of ribeye. Cooked for approximately 5 mins on both sides and I had my medium rare steak. That was all I had and it makes me a Happy Girl...

Little Hamsters

After lunch yesterday, Wee Leong, Michelle and myself, went to a pet shop at Suntec basement to get her(Michelle) new poodle puppy some supplies of dog food, dog bowl etc. She has just bought a 3 months old poodle for her MIL. While the guys are sharping their knife to get her to buy many many things for the pups, myself and "Hairy Teo" went to the front of the shop to catch a glimpse at those hamsters in the glass tank. They are so adorable that we can't help it but to snap some pics of them. Hahah... I used to have a mini Zoo at home (previous home).. where I had 2 cats, a dog (maltese), 1 chinchilla & 8 hamsters. Friends who visited me always joked about me having a mini zoo and me a zoo keeper.
