Foodies & a Pink Bike

Ien Ling called me for lunch today at Alex's Eating House. He knows I love the roasted pork rice there, as I would always say, the best roasted pork rice in Singapore. I had to rush as it took me approximately 10 mins to walk there from Suntec City, in the hot sun, damn bloody hot sun! But for Alex's roasted pork rice, its worthy. I was just telling Ien today, what is a 10 mins walk in the sun for a good meal? I would not mind the walk.

Then, as usual, after a hearty lunch at Alex's, we proceed to Ah Chew's Dessert at Liang Seah St, for a good bowl of Mango Sago with Pomelo. But I went for something different today, Ien had the mango ones, but when I had the bowl of mango dessert last night after watching Julie & Julia, I saw that they have this range of new dessert, steamed milk, with red bean, with cookies, or simply steamed milk on its own. I love cookies, so I decided to give it a try today since I already had my share of mango last night.

Not bad, the top part tasted of crushed cookies, and smelled like Milo... Had no idea what cookies tasted like Milo, but the steamed milk at the bottom part, was very soft and smooth to my palate. Not bad I would say, its cold by the way. But after all, I still love my Mango Sago with Pomelo, BEST!!!

Then, while I was walking back to the office, before crossing the overhead bridge, I saw this indian lady walking in front of me. I couldn't help it but felt so amazed by her sense of dressing. She was wearing a white pants that the material is thin enough to see through her undies, and best part, priceless part, she was wearing checkers undies. So damn clear right in front of my eyes, OMG!!!! As I walked up the stairs, I looked up and saw her checkers undies all the way till I reached the top of the overhead bridge. So, being naughty as usual, I took some snaps of her checkers... call me mean but really.. if she dares to wear it, I dare to take her pic and share with everyone here.

For dinner, me and Superhubby together with J & J (Jac & Jennifer), went to New Everest Kitchen for a sumptious meal there. Food there always tasted good and worth the money too. Got to know a gurkha trainer there. He is a regular and had a chat with him till the J & J arrived later before dinner started. I love their new menu, equiped with pics for every dish which make it much easier for everyone to order their dishes.

Whenever we have Jac for dinner, there sure to be a round of dessert. So we decided to drive to Rochor for soya bean curd but the famous stall was too crowded and we didn't want to queue and standing there while waiting for seats. So we just ate at the stall next to the Rochor ones.

While I was walking back to the car, with Jenn beside me yacking away, (Jac & Superhubby was in front of us), I suddenly turned right and saw my favourite bike! Yamaha Fino!!! ( I just knew the name Fino now). I had seen this model on the road few times, but I just couldn't figure out what model and brand as I knew it is definitely not Piaggio Vespa. Best part, this bike is in pink and the seat too!! OMG!!! Better still, while we were taking pics of the bike, the owner came by and we had a quick chat and I managed to find out more of the bike in details. And the shop she bought from. Hahaha.. I am a chatter and as much as I could... I chatted some infos from her... and of cos, Jac helps with some questions too. Jenn seems excited and she said she wanted a bike too... but we think, its better that she drives. She owns a lime green Nissan March. I used to love that car, cute and simple.
Here is a snap of the bike. I didn't have my camera with me and I was using my Samsung Pixon to take this snap, the flash is not good enough. But still, I am happy and excited. Oh... the owner of this bike, she has a pink helmet too! Wuahahaha...

Julie & Julia and my Mango Sago with Pomelo...

Its Monday and we love watching movies on Monday. Why? Because its Cheaper and Less crowded. I hate crowds, and as much as possible, I try to avoid going to town and shopping, with long queues.... NO WAY!!! Especially on weekends!... NAH... just so NOT me....

We watched Julie & Julia @ Eng Wah Suntec, 7pm. It was a good show, cooking with lots enthusiasm and love. I love cooking and baking in general. I bake brownies (my specialty), cookies, muffins, cakes, scones... just thinking and blogging about it, makes me want to bake something, but its late now. I don't want to have to clean the whole kitchen at midnight. LOL...

After the movie, while walking to Superhubby's office to collect the car at Odeon Towers, we walked to Ah Chew Dessert and had my all time favourite Mango Sago with Pomelo. Yummilicious and so irresistable. After which, I was contented enough to go home.

Kite Flying Day

When we were having dinner with Jac at the White Rabbit on Friday, we talked about our new hobby, kite flying and she got very excited and joined us today. She got herself a red big "sotong" kite.. she had wanted an orange color one, but the uncle didn't had that color, so the closest they could get is the red one. Quite close to orange, I think. But somehow, we can't seems to get it high up for too long and it kept dropping, she decided to change to a smaller one, but she ended up getting the same size but in black color instead. But most importantly, she loves her black "sotong".. Hahaha.. she is so damn funny and excited at the same time. You could see the little girl in her when she managed to get it fly up for about 10m for less than a min. So cute....Way to go Jac! We shall try again when you are back. The wind was very bad today. For the first time, we didn't see any kite that fly up above the sky as we usually do. Seems like the usual experts were not there today too. We guessed they must have done some homework at home and knew that the wind isn't good for kite flying today.

Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves and took some photos for fun.
Jac loves her "sotong"'s eyes

This "fish" is definitely non steam-able.... :oP
La bi xiao xin... I love to watch this cartoon.. damn cute and funny...

Me & SuperHubby and our kites ... setting up..

We were trying to get Jac's red "sotong" started flying
Thats SuperHubby's kite in the front, followed my mine. Remember I blogged about him changing my lizard kite without my knowledge? Yeah... he changed for the one with the red patch and gave me his previous one. I guessed he wanted a bigger kite and traded my lizard for this one. Damn... I missed my lizard kite. Even Jac thinks its cute.. Hahaha....
After that we went to Buangkok for dinner and shopped for some groceries at the 24hrs NTUC.. I saw these bunch of little hairy crabs. Previously, on Friday, at White Rabbit, she already mentioned that one of these days, we must try hairy crabs. (though I can't imagine eating its s****). Yikes.. But I can't help to take some pics of these little ones.. so cute.. and some of these were actually seen blowing bubbles... cuteee...I don't think I would have the heart to eat them. So "kelian"...

Dinner at White Rabbit on Friday 16.10.09 with my BFF Jac

We went to the White Rabbit at Dempsey.. as usual... we always got lost in Dempsey... we had to call Jac many times to ask her how to get to White Rabbit... at the end... a friend of hers came to meet us at Chang Korean Restaurant and led us from there. Damn.. we are very bad with Dempsey...

It was our first time there, and Jac's too. We ordered quite a lof of food and they were quite good..Thanks Jac, for the treat.

My all time favourite appetizer, Foie Gras.. this is a pan fried version.. hmmm.. yummy...

Escargot, frog legs and Ravioli...

Minced raw beef with quail egg in the middle served with french fries

I ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto..I just love anything thats mushrooms...I am a mushroom craze..

Mac & Cheese.. tasted too strong of the cheese... we didn't like it and ate less than half the portion of it.

Jac had the BBQ ribs...she gave me a piece... quite nice..

SuperHubby ordered the daily special's Roast Sirloin with roasted potatoes...
Molten Chocolate cake and Passion fruit sorbet... Yummilicious...

Creme brûlée.. my all time favourite dessert...
Great!! I felt something ticklish around my lips when I was eating the creme brûlée and I thought I saw something sticking out from the spoon and I slowly took it out.. but to my amaze.. it never seems to end... and the more I pulled, the longer it seems. Then I realised.. it was a strand of hair... GOD knows who does it belongs to... Damn... We told the waitress and she offered to change for another one but I just can't imagine eating another set done by the person who might have dropped that strand of hair. Yikes..

The Pink toilet seat.

Last week, I was checking out some stuff at Daiso at Rivervale Mall. I couldn't help it but got this pink toilet seat cover for my toilet at home. Hahaha... I love PINK... I can wear all pink, pink top, pink skirt, carrying a pink bag, with pink gloss, pinky cheeks and pinky watch! When Jac sees me in such color combination, she will tell me "I really can't imagine you being so PINKY... so NOT you.. you are loud and "chor lor" (meaning rough in hokkien)... but pink is so not your color... its meant for sweet, demure and gentle lady".. Hahaha.. may be she is right but I just can't help not to like pink.. don't know why but I love pink since I was a kid. Never get sick of the color though. Even now, while blogging this, I just realised I m wearing a pink camisole and pink boxers with my pink bag beside me, pink key pouch and pink mobile phone right in front of me here. Hahaha...

A client once said to me, if he ever found something pink on the floor, it must be mine. Must have been me, who have drop it. Hahaha... great.. then I will not have to worry so much since everyone knows that now. So, anything you see on the floor, cute stuff in pink.. must be mine!!! Please bring them back to me. THXXXXX!!

I

Gone is my Lizard kite.... :o(

Remember the lizard kite I was talking about in my previous post? Now, my kind Superhubby got it changed to a better one, without my knowledge!! Arghh...he felt heart pain seeing me trying so hard to fly the lizard kite for a while and still couldn't get it up there... so when he went to buy dinner on the same night as I got the lizard ones, he sneaked out to get the kite changed to a parachute material ones, bigger too, as I heard. I have not seen it yet. May be on Saturday. No time to fly on weekdays as my schedulea are all packed up with office new launch event after work and meeting up with my BFF, Jac.

Anyway, once I get a snap of my new kite, will post it here for viewing pleasure. Till then.... adios!

Samsung AMOLED Dance Off

I happen to come across this video when I was browsing thru a site to vote for my friend for the Samsung video event. This group is hilariously cool. Yeah.. hilarious and cool. T o some people, they might feel very disturb with such dance act in such costumes. But I find them cool, as it takes a lot of courage to actually do what they did. Kudos to these "chicks".

Anyway, enjoy this video.
