Gone is my Lizard kite.... :o(

Remember the lizard kite I was talking about in my previous post? Now, my kind Superhubby got it changed to a better one, without my knowledge!! Arghh...he felt heart pain seeing me trying so hard to fly the lizard kite for a while and still couldn't get it up there... so when he went to buy dinner on the same night as I got the lizard ones, he sneaked out to get the kite changed to a parachute material ones, bigger too, as I heard. I have not seen it yet. May be on Saturday. No time to fly on weekdays as my schedulea are all packed up with office new launch event after work and meeting up with my BFF, Jac.

Anyway, once I get a snap of my new kite, will post it here for viewing pleasure. Till then.... adios!

Samsung AMOLED Dance Off

I happen to come across this video when I was browsing thru a site to vote for my friend for the Samsung video event. This group is hilariously cool. Yeah.. hilarious and cool. T o some people, they might feel very disturb with such dance act in such costumes. But I find them cool, as it takes a lot of courage to actually do what they did. Kudos to these "chicks".

Anyway, enjoy this video.

Kite Flying

Yay.... finally we've got our kite. First, hubby bought his kite, made of parachute material, and he paid SGD95.00 including the wheel of string. Initially we only bought one and there is only one of us who can fly the kite at a time and the other would only get to watch. Then, I decided, I wanted my own kite and bought a koi fish shaped kite. Its kinda long and huge, but somehow, it was quite difficult to get it fly high. May be due to my lack of skills, and not catching the wind at the right time, my koi fish refuse to go high up the sky. Then, we went again this late noon, and I decided to change the koi fish to a lizard. Wuaahaha...

This is my lizard kite, and why lizard of all shapes? Cos its uncommon. I do not want to fly a kite which when up in the sky, I can't tell which is mine. Too many kites!!!

The usual place was too crowded and Superhubby's kite got entangled with other kites many a times, so we decided to try our luck at an open field just right next to our block. Luck was on our side and the wind was good enough to get his kite high high up above the sky. Parachute material kites are easier to fly comparing to the normal ones, which is the one I bought. Though I paid $20 for the koi fish but changed it to the lizard which is only $15, but I kept changing and the owner was kind enough to let me do so without complaining. So no refund then.

Here is a shot of SuperHubby trying to keep his kite. Location: An open field next to our block.

Saw this amazingly long kite last weekend. I counted, around 200 little kites along the string. I am gonna make one for myself when I have the time. Its not difficult to do it but need lots of time though.
So long that they need few pairs of hands to help keeping the kites...Hahaha...
Slowly pulling in one by one and keeping them in a box, one by one too... so they will not get tangle up...

It wasn't a Missing In Action

Welcome back to the long awaited for updated blog. I have not been blogging for the past week as it was a crazy week for me, and for all of us. Be it at work or family matters.

First, hubby's grandma passed away on Monday and I had to be at the wake every night, after work. It was like working OT or taking up extra job for the week. Running 2 places, one after another. As Friday was the funeral, Thurday night was the ritual night and lots of prayers, walking, kneeling, standing, and more LOUD prayers. I heard from cousins that on the 2nd night of the wake, policemen came 4 times for rounds due to complaints from the neighbours. Hahah.. what can they do anyway? But really, I hardly come across a wake with so much crowd, with beer and liquer drinkers, and gambling, be it pokercards or mahjong. At one point of time, I wonder, is this a wake or a party of a gathering... ?? Some said, its a celebration of death who somehow, stops suffering. So we should not be sad but celebrate.

Hmmm.. I can't seems to do that. I still remember, when SuperPapa passed away 5 years ago, I was devastated that I thought its the end of my world. I lost the man that I loved the most in my life, and what would I do without him? It has been 5 years, and at times, when I think of him, I still can't get over the fact that he had left us for good. Especially when I dreamt of him, I always woke up in tears, and wished I will not wake up from the dream so I can see him longer. I had so much to tell him, of how much I missed him and how much I loved him....tears will start rolling down my cheeks. Sigh.. thats life... people come and go in our lives, that is why, we must treasure them when they are still around, spend as much time as we can. And of cos, talk to them, as they can't read our mind, and how much does it cost to speak our hearts out? Nothing.. so speak before its too late.

Secondly, as our new office will be having an official launch on Tues 13.10, there are so much to do. OMG... taxing week and I just can't wait to get this done and over with. But, 4 evenings, 13.10 (Tues), 15.10 (Thurs), 22.10 (Thurs) & 27.10 (Tues). Its gonna be a crazy month.

iLove Cactus

I have always loved cactus, being small and cute but full of torns. Just like me, I may look fierce and loud but I am full of colors and lots of characters (yeah right!)... LOL
Stop bullshitting about myself too much. Yikes...

Anyway, I was never good at taking care of plants. Don't know why. I can never be like Supermommy. My home in Kulim, has a nice garden all done by Supermommy. She has the patience to keep these plants green and colorful. But plants under my care, they all went to heaven ( I think so.. or else where do they go when they die...? They can't sin, so I guess they go to heaven).

I had cactus twice and all died within the same year. They survived less than a year under my care. WTF??? Serious!!! I heard from friends, that cactus are the easiest plant to maintain, and yet, all cactus I owned, all died. OMG!!! But I love cactus, and I also learnt that placing cactus at the front of the house, can keep the evils away. I always have nightmare of g****ly thing, coming after me, but ever since I kept cactus, never had those dreams anymore. So I somehow, MUST have cactus. So when they die, I will buy new ones. Finally, I found a nice pot big enough to house 8 different cactus. But I was too afraid of their torns, so Superhubby was very sweet. He was supposed to go out drinking with his excolleagues, and me, busy baking brownies for an excolleague who ordered it for tomorrow's delivery. Suddenly he appeared in the kitchen, which gave me a shock cos I was on my iPod and didn't hear him at the door all the way to the kitchen. When I asked why he didn't go for the drinking session, he replied he was having headache... so I let him be and continue plugging my iPod and baking.

When I was done baking, I found him outside the house doing up my cactus. Awwww... so sweet... didn't know arranging cactus could also takes away headache! LOL.. hahahaha... anyway, I really appreciate that... Here are some pics for your appreciations too.

Somehow, I came across this plant and find it very nice... but was not allowed to buy as we do not have anymore place to put this outsite. ( I am not allowed to put plants with soil in the house, as I have a clean freak Superhubby).

iBrownies with Vanilla and Chocolate Frosting

Sarah ordered brownies with vanilla and chocolate frosting. This time round, the frosting is not as watery as the first one I did for her some months ago, earlier this year. Different taste too. I used more chocolate for the chocolate frosting. I am sure she is very happy, (yeah, she skyped me today telling me how much she loves these brownies). It makes me really happy to hear positive comment about my brownies and cheesecakes. Of cos, I also welcome negative comment, that shows I will have to improve it so I can get close to perfection. Nevertheless, nothing is perfect. Each to its own. Some may like it this way, but some may like it that way. I can only cater according to individual feedback and take note so I will know who likes what.

Anyway, I managed to get some pics here of Sarah's order which I made last night.
